SOLD - 1 of the 2 Prototypes Ernest made to attract investors for his visioned EKI (Knife Company)

"A Prototype made by Ernie when he was setting up his production knife company. This is the actual proto for his second knife, the SpecWar. It has the extremely rare black coating on a custom knife, and the even rarer black coated titanium liners. Hand contoured black micarta scales and the rarely seen black steel straight edge clip. This one is completely unique because it is about 20% larger than the production version that EKI made. It also has the only known use of split pivots, a design Ernie was trying out. It shows some light use, probably by a military user testing it out. This knife was designed for military use. It is also very important in the history of Emerson Knives.
