Holding the knife horizontally to the ground, depress the front & back soft spring-loaded C-Locks, and the blade gently (magician-like) opens... Release the C-Locks to lock it in the open position.

To close, again depress both C-Locks, tip up towards the sky a degree or two, and the blade returns to its safe position.
