"Our (TADGear's) latest collaboration, the Dauntless Fixed Blade Fellhoelter E.C.S. Edition, is our first fixed blade from Brian and features a unique retention system. Inspired by his years as a whitewater rafting guide, Brian designed the E.C.S. as a knife and sheath system built to withstand rough waters yet quickly deploy in an emergency situation. Combining signature elements of the Dauntless with the unique U.S.E.R. System (Ultimately Secure, Easy Release), this versatile blade is built for the outdoors.
Features:
- Distinct Dauntless design details include fullers on the handle and blade.
- The flat ground blade is differentially heat treated at the spring lock for stronger retention.
- Designed for field maintenance, the delrin sheath with TekLok has a custom insert with dismantling tool and the hollow knife handle can accommodate small items like tinder quick, matches or a repair needle.
- Deep finger guard provides additional security.
Originally apprenticed as a toolmaker, Brian has been making quality folding knives since 2005. He won Best Tactical Folder in Blade Magazine’s 2011 Best-of-the-Year Awards.
