Hey Jon, I am using a different blend of media in my blast cabinet to blast the handles and I this is really a great finish. Not easy to scratch, and has a little shine to it. One other thing that I did differently on this one is I stippled the thumb ramp (instead of putting grooves in,) not as aggresive but still provides grip. This knife is exceptionaly sharp too.--Tim Galyean (Feb. 2008)
